Listo Para El Gran Juego: Telemundo Plans Ball-to-Ball Coverage Of Super Bowl LIX

January 30, 2025: Stating that "we are committed to bringing fans closer to the Super Bowl experience beyond the game," NBCUniversal's Telemundo said it would cover Super Bowl LIX with a “comprehensive slate of programming across the network’s news and entertainment shows and platforms,” including daytime shows, streaming channels and social media platforms.
It will all lead to the live Spanish-language broadcast the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles Feb. 9 on Telemundo (6:30 PM) and continue post-game.
This past October, the NFL and Super Bowl LIX exclusive English-language broadcast network Fox said the Spanish-language version of the game would get two-times the live airplay on Fox Deportes as well as NBCUniversal’s Telemundo.
They said the move would “provide the broadest Spanish-language distribution in the United States for any Super Bowl in history.” The Spanish-language networks said they would produce separate broadcasts for Super Bowl LIX.
“After a record-breaking broadcast in 2022, we are thrilled to offer Spanish-language coverage of Super Bowl LIX to the widest Spanish-language audience in history, expanding access to the premier event and supporting the growing fandom of American football among Latinos,” Joaquin Duro, evp-sports, NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises, said via the company.
“We are committed to bringing fans closer to the Super Bowl experience beyond the game by showcasing the culture, fans, and the colorful stories that surround the sport in a relevant and meaningful way across the network’s shows and platforms.”
According to Variety, Telemundo via the alliance will be able to sell ads with higher prices to local and regional marketers.
Fox will retain control of all national commercial inventory in the game.Leading to Super Bowl Sunday, Telemundo’s programming will ”showcase a variety of stories of football fans, the host city's Super Bowl history, and the personal narratives of the teams and players that make up the Chiefs and Eagles.”
Beyond the game, the coverage will “delve into the rich tapestry of New Orleans, celebrated for its vibrant culture, mouthwatering cuisine, soulful music, and captivating ghost stories. Some of the content airing across network shows during Super Bowl Week.”
Among the programming, Hoy Día, Telemundo’s morning show, will feature special segments to celebrate the Super Bowl, including cooking segments with Chef Rafa inspired by game-day favorites and halftime performances; En Casa con Telemundo, the network’s daytime entertainment show hosted by Carlos Adyan, will feature content about celebrities and personalities traveling to New Orleans; and Zona Mixta, Telemundo’s late-night sports news and entertainment show, will include special segments from the main set with Caesars SuperDome as a backdrop.

Super Bowl Sunday will feature more than eight hours of coverage across Telemundo platforms, including Noticias Telemundo AHORA and Camino al Super Bowl, which will feature analysis, debates, and highlights of the "NFL’s commitment to Latino fans as well colorful stories and reports that go beyond the game.”
The network’s NFL commentary team, featuring play-by-play announcer Miguel Gurwitz and color analyst and former Arizona Cardinals offensive lineman Rolando Cantú will lead on-the-ground coverage.
Programming concludes with Homenaje al Campeon, showcasing post-game analysis, celebration of the winning team and the awarding of the Lombardi Trophy.
Telemundo will also cover the game via social media on TelemundoDeportes Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter) and TikTok.
