NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers See ‘ClipperVision’ As Game-Changing Option

October 17, 2022: Calling it a first for the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers today launched “ClipperVision” to coincide with the start of the 2022-23 season, enabling people in the area to watch live Clippers games without cable or satellite subscription from their smartphone, smart TV or computer.
The team said more than 70 local games would be available to subscribers for live and on-demand viewing within ClipperVision. Nationally broadcast games are unavailable for viewing.
The Clippers said multiple different stream options are now available, “with more in the planning stages.”
Team owner Steve Ballmer said he plans to be involved on-air with the product.
“I have wanted to create a product like ClipperVision since the day I came to the Clippers,” Ballmer told AP Sports. “Years of effort, hard work and development have led up to its launch.”
The team is expected to contend for the NBA title this season with such players as Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, John Wall and Reggie Jackson.
The live-streams and VODs within ClipperVision include:
• Traditional Clippers Broadcasts: Live game feeds from Bally Sports SoCal and KTLA featuring traditional on-air talent and graphics
• BallerVision: An alternate game optiion featuring guest host commentators scheduled to include Steve Ballmer, Matt Barnes, Jamal Crawford, Baron Davis and Quentin Richardson
• CourtVision: Live-stream with layered augmented graphics showing real-time shot probability and statistics
• CourtVision Mascot Mode: Live-stream that incorporates fan-friendly animations, graphics, and special effects
• Korean language: Live-stream featuring analysis and commentary in Korean
• Spanish language: Live-stream featuring analysis and commentary in Spanish
• On-demand viewing: Action after the final buzzer, with full-length games, condensed games and highlights
The team said ClipperVision would host a variety of summer content, including Summer League games.
Subscribers can access ClipperVision from their computer, iOS, Android, Chromecast, Apple TV (OS 14+), Roku, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV and Fire Stick Gen 3+, Comcast Xfinity Flex, PlayStation 5, Xbox One or Xbox Series X.
