Nissan Heisman House Running Back To The Future With Reggie Bush

August 27, 2024: The 2024 version of the Nissan Heisman House is open for business, bringing with it 2005 Heisman Trophy winner Reggie Bush, 2023 Hesiman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels and EA Sports College Football 25.
In 2005, Bush won the Heisman Trophy as a running back for the USC Trojans. In 2006, allegations that Bush’s family had received gifts in violation of NCAA policies led to an investigation that resulted in USC forfeiting all of its wins in the 2005 season, including its Orange Bowl victory, and Bush voluntarily forfeiting his Heisman Trophy.
On April 24, 2024, the Heisman Trust said it would return the Heisman Trophy to Bush mainly due to current Name, Image and Likeness rules “and enormous changes in the college football landscape."
With his Heisman Trophy officially in hand, Bush is now welcomed as a 39-year-old Nissan Heisman House rookie.
The Nissan Heisman House multi-media humorous campaign, in its 14th season, also has a partnership with EA Sports College Football 25, a video game returning after an 11-year absence.
The campaign is anchored by five spots to break throughout the CFB season, beginning Aug. 29 with the Bush-led “Frozen In Time” on ESPN, and then across ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox; as well as social media and online.
Described as a “place for Heisman Trophy winners to come together,” Nissan’s campaign also introduces Daniels, the former LSU quarterback and 2024 NFL No. 2 overall pick (Washington Commanders).
Daniels and Bush join such former Heisman Trophy winners in this season’s campaign as Baker Mayfield, Robert Griffin III, Mark Ingram, Tim Tebow, Desmond Howard, Billy Sims and Steve Spurrier.
The effort features Nissan's new vehicle roster: the 2025 Nissan Kicks, 2024 Nissan Z Heritage Edition, 2025 Nissan Rogue, 2024 Nissan ARIYA, 2024 Nissan Pathfinder Rock Creek and 2025 Nissan Frontier PRO-4X.
“Heisman House is more than just a campaign; it's become a part of culture, woven into the fabric of people's hearts, and something they eagerly anticipate each year," Marisstella Marinkovic, Nissan U.S. vp and CMO, said via the company.
“This year is extra special as we welcome Reggie Bush to the House and other Heisman greats alongside our award-winning Nissan lineup. I promise you all the laughs and special moments Heisman House is known for.”
The Nissan Heisman House campaign begins with “Frozen in Time,” which presumes that Bush himself has been in cold storage as long as his personal Heisman Trophy.
As Griffin gives Daniels a tour of the Nissan Heisman House they find Bush frozen in a Cryotherapy Room. “I lost track of time in there,” a thawed-out Bush says. “What’s new?”
They show him the fully loaded Nissan Kicks and a Heisman House filled with modern technology as a bemused Bush takes it all in. The spot features Reggie Bush, Jayden Daniels, Robert Griffin III, Desmond Howard and Billy Sims.
The Nissan Kicks is also part of the inaugural EA Sports College Football 25 Nissan Heisman House Challenge.
Launching in late October, Nissan said people would be able to register for the chance to showcase their skills and compete virtually to win a 2025 Nissan Kicks and an honorary key to the Heisman House.
People can watch the College Football 25 Heisman House Challenge finals live on EA Sports Twitch and YouTube live-streams in early December.
As support, the Nissan Heisman House Tour will travel to several campuses, where people “can meet Heisman legends and pose with the renowned trophy. “

• Wake Up Heisman: The high-tech Heisman House is loaded with gadgets that can be activated from the Nissan Rogue with Google built-in , including the horn-blasting Rookie Alarm. Features Reggie Bush, Billy Sims, Baker Mayfield, Mark Ingram, Desmond Howard and Jayden Daniels. Breaks Sept. 19.

• Sooner Schooner: Griffin shows off his All Electric Nissan ARIYA, which parks automatically; Mayfield can’t do with his horse-driven Oklahoma Sooner covered wagon. Features Tim Tebow, Robert Griffin III and Baker Mayfield. Breaks Oct. 31. 
• Float: Ingram builds a huge caster plaster of himself atop the Nissan Frontier PRO-4X for a homecoming parade, but doesn’t get the dimensions quite right to get it out of the garage. Features Mark Ingram, Desmond Howard and Jayden Daniels. Breaks Nov. 21.
In July, after more than a decade of legal, financial and logistical battles and hurdles, Electronic Arts released EA Sports College Football 25 worldwide, marking EA Sports official return to college football.
The last edition prior to the new release in the franchise was EA Sports NCAA Football 14, released in July 2013.
“This marks the first time in history that college football players are included and paid in EA Sports’ College Football video game!” Dyson McCutcheon, University of Washington football player and a leader at the National College Players Assn. — a 501c3 nonprofit advocacy association comprised of current and former college athletes that played a central role in getting players paid and back in the game, said at the time via the organization.
