Saquon Barkley Rushes To No. 1 On NFLPA Year-End Top 50 Player Sales List

June 12, 2025: Add another jewel to Saquon Barkley’s crown.
In his first year since moving from the New York Giants to the Philadelphia Eagles, the running back was a vital part of the Super Bowl LIX championship team, was named NFL Offensive Player of the Year, made First Team All-Pro, scored the covers of for both the EA Sports Standard and Deluxe editions of Madden NFL 26.
He also has appeared in several marketing efforts, including a Nationwide commercial in which Peyton Manning refers to him as “Stay Calm Barkley.’
Now, Barkley has claimed the retail crown atop the NFL Players Assn.’s Year-End Top 50 Player Sales List, becoming the first running back since Ezekiel Elliott in 2017 to finish No. 1.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes comes in at No. 2, his seventh consecutive year-end Top 5 finish.
Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was No. 4, the highest-ranked spot for a first-year quarterback since Tua Tagovailoa in 2021 and the first rookie quarterback to finish among the Top 5 on a year-end list since Mac Jones (New England Patriots) in 2022, according to the NFLPA.
The most popular jerseys based on cumulative sales were Barkley, Mahomes, Jalen Hurts, Jayden Daniels and CJ Stroud.
The NFLPA said its Top 50 Player Sales List ranks the league’s top retail performers based on sales of officially licensed player products from March 1, 2024, to February 28, 2025.
Sales figures were not disclosed.
Sales of NFL merchandises are projected to hit $7.6 billion in 2025, according to industry analysts.
“It is the most comprehensive and up-to-date snapshot of player-driven consumer demand, offering a strong indicator of the NFL’s most marketable and influential athletes — impacting everything from endorsements to overall earning potential,” according to the NFLPA.
These rankings go beyond jersey sales, covering a wide range of product categories including apparel, bobbleheads, accessories, figurines, wall decals, backpacks and drinkware.
“These are the only verified rankings based on officially licensed NFL player products sold through both online and in-store retail channels, as reported by over 85 NFLPA licensees,” according to the organization.
Despite Barkley claiming the No. 1 overall position, Mahomes was the most popular NFL player across a wide range of products.He finished No. 1 in sales in Forever Collectibles bobbleheads, Funko Pop vinyl collectibles, Fathead’ wall decals and cutouts, Outerstuff youth apparel sales, Party Animals player figurines and squishy toys and Trends International’s top-selling player-identified posters
The Detroit Lions and Eagles led all teams with five players each among the Top 50.
Quarterback was the most popular position, with ten players among the Top 20 and 20 among the Top 50.
