Swingtime In Paris: Turner Sports First Roland-Garros Gets Grand Slam Team

May 9, 2025: The best tennis players in the world will converge on Paris for the Roland-Garros Grand Slam this month, but an equally impressive broadcast team will cover it for Turner Sports.
In its first year of broadcasting the event, Turner has brought together a roster of all-time greats for media presentiment on-site and in-studio, including Andre Agassi, Darren Cahill, Chris Evert, John McEnroe, Sloane Stephens and Venus Williams.
This year marks the first of a ten-year agreement signed last June for TNT Sports to present Roland-Garros in the U.S., with comprehensive coverage to include featured matches each day on TNT, expansive daily whip-around action on truTV and every match available on Max.
Multi-media marketing support is anchored by a preview promo spot.
Rafael Nadal, who has retired, has become a global ambassador for the Tournament at which he won 14 of hs 22 Grand Slam titles. He is featured in a new spot, "Only At Roland-Garros."
TNT Sports also becomes the home of Roland-Garros in the U.K. and Ireland, with distribution in 49 European markets on Eurosport.
Warner Bros. Discovery, the parent company of TNT Sports, is the largest global rights-holder of Roland-Garros.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
The pact is valued at $650 million over the ten years, up from the $12 million per year the French Tennis Federation had via its prior alliance with NBC and a sub-licensing deal with Tennis Channel for the U.S. rights, according to industry analysts.
The 2024 Roland-Garros Grand Slam was NBC’s 42nd consecutive year televising the event, with Tennis Channel is in its 18th year.
The 2025 Grand Slam runs May 25-June 8, with qualifying rounds May 19-23.
TNT Sports’ U.S. coverage, all originating live from Paris, begins May 25.

Turner Sports said its on-air personalities were winners of nearly 100 tennis Grand Slams in singles, doubles and mixed competition.
• Andre Agassi, an eight-time major champion, contributing studio analysis during the semifinal and final rounds
• Darren Cahill, a former ATP Tour player and coach to multiple top-ranked Singles players, joining the broadcast team at times throughout the tournament
• Jim Courier, the only American to win back-to-back Roland-Garros Men’s Singles Championships (1991-92), serving as a studio and match analyst
• Lindsay Davenport, a three-time Grand Slam Singles Champion who reached the Women’s Singles Semifinals at Roland-Garros in 1998, offering match and studio analysis
• Chris Eubanks, an active ATP Tour player who won the 2023 Mallorca Championships for his first career title, providing studio analysis at the conclusion of his tournament run in Paris
• Chris Evert, who won a Roland-Garros record-setting seven Women’s Singles Championships (1974, 1975, 1979, 1980, 1983, 1985 & 1986), joining the broadcast team as a match analyst
• Mary Joe Fernandez, a Roland-Garros finalist in 1993 and winner of seven Singles titles and 17 in Doubles, will be a reporter and contributor throughout the event.
• John McEnroe, who won the Roland-Garros Mixed Doubles Title in 1977 and reached the Men’s Singles Final in 1984, providing match analysis
• Patrick McEnroe will contribute play-by-play, hosting (whip-around action, at times, on truTV) and match and studio analysis throughout the event.
He will be joined by a veteran sportscasters anchoring the action in Paris, including play-by-play announcers Brian Anderson, Alex Faust and Mark Petchey.
• Sloane Stephens, a Roland-Garros Singles Finalist in 2018 and winner of eight career titles, contributing analysis and player interviews
• Sam Querrey, winner of ten ATP Singles titles and five Doubles titles, offering studio and match analysis during the event
• CoCo Vandeweghe, who won the Women’s Doubles Title at the 2018 U.S. Open and reached two Grand Slam Singles Semifinals in 2017, serving as a studio analyst
• Venus Williams, 7-time Grand Slam Champion, business trailblazer, and cultural icon, will also contribute to TNT Sports’ Roland-Garros coverage, hosting a series of special features highlighting the history of the clay court tournament and the intersection of the sport of tennis and Parisian culture.
The features will run within TNT Sports’ coverage of the event.
• Caroline Wozniacki, the 2018 Australian Open Women’s Singles Champion and winner of 30 WTA Singles titles, as a studio and match analyst.
Adam Lefkoe will host TNT’s studio coverage on site in Paris. 
Jon Wertheim, tennis journalist and 60 Minutes correspondent, will be an essayist and contributor to TNT Sports’ Roland-Garros coverage.
In addition to their contributions to the U.S. coverage, McEnroe, Courier, Evert and Wozniacki, among others, will also join European telecasts throughout the event.
Organizers for Roland-Garros have shared details for a multi-platform celebration to honor Rafael Nadal, who retired this past November as the greatest player in tournament history.
Nadal won his first title at Roland-Garros in 2005, his last in 2022. He played in the 2024 event, losing to Alexander Zverev in the first round.
A celebration is being planned for May 25 on Philippe-Chatrier following the conclusion of the day session's three fixtures.
An exhibition dedicated to Nadal will run for the duration of the tournament at the Roland-Garros Tenniseum.
