Baseball Hall Of Famer, WS Manager Joe Torre Takes New Campaign Into Account

April 24, 2014: Joe Torre knows the importance of numbers: He was the National League MVP in 1971, won four World Series as manager of the New York Yankees and this summer will be part of the Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2014.

The 73-year-old Torre is now the No. 1 man in was was called a multimillion-dollar campaign for CohnReznick LLP, which calls itself the "tenth largest accounting, tax, and advisory firm in the United States."

The campaign, "Game Changer," is "designed to convey [CohnReznick]’s deep expertise helping clients navigate and succeed in today’s changing business landscape."

The effort includes print in national business and key trade publications, radio, Internet, outdoor placements and inclusions on commuter rail lines, integrated sponsorships, digital/mobile ads and social media sponsored posts.

“We hear from our clients daily about the challenges they face in their industries," Tom Marino, co-CEO, CohnReznick, said in a statement. "The playing field is constantly changing and you need the right expertise to stay ahead."

CohnReznick said that the campaign’s theme, “Game Changer,” reflects the "critical importance of tapping proven performance, expertise, and insight during important and complex times."

According to Chuck Ludmer, CMO, CohnReznick. “The ‘Game Changer’ campaign is a real departure from typical professional services advertisements and no other accounting firm has a spokesperson with Joe’s visibility and values. The new campaign will help us raise awareness among C-suite decision makers and influencers. We believe it is consistent with our breakthrough strategy and helps us translate our messages.”

The Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2014 includes Torre, Bobby Cox, Tony LaRussa, Greg Maddux,Tom Glavine and Frank Thomas.

Torre played from 1960-78 (Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Mets), was a manager from 1977-2010 (Mets, Braves, Cardinals, Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers), then worked in the MLB office as evp-baseball operations.

He was manager of Yankees world championship teams in 1999 and 1998-2000.
