Ohtani, Soto, Guerrero Jr., Join Judge, Harper As MLB All-Star Game Starters

UPDATED July 15, 2024: The National Anthem prior to the 2024 All-Star Game will be performed by multi-platinum selling artist Cody Johnson.
The Ceremonial First Pitch will be thrown by 2024 National Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee and Texas Rangers Legend Adrian Beltré. Beltré will be accompanied by Rangers Legends who are enshrined into the Hall of Fame, including Fergie Jenkins, Iván Rodríguez, and Nolan Ryan.
MLB, Stand Up To Cancer and MasterCard will continue the annual All-Star Game tradition of an in-game SU2C moment, featuring players, umpires, coaches and fans as they all hold up placards with the names of loved ones affected by the disease.
The moment will take place after the 5th inning and will air live on Fox. MLB and its 30 Clubs are the founding donors of SU2C, committing more than $50 million, to date, to SU2C’s cancer research programs.
AL manager Bruce Bochy said Baltimore Orioles' pitcher Corbin Burnes would start in Tuesday night's All-Star Game, going against Pittsburgh Pirates rookie Paul Skenes.
UPDATED July 14, 2024: AL manager Bruce Bochy said Texas Rangers shortstop Corey Seager was added to the roster, replacing the injured Carlos Correa (Minnesota Twins) and Rangers second baseman Marcus Semien will start in place of Houston Astros Jose Altuve, out with a sore left hand.
UPDATED July 13, 2024: NL manager Torey Lovullo named rookie standout Paul Skenes as his the starter for the 2024 All-Star Game. AL manager Bruce Bochy has not yet named his starting pitcher.
Philadelphia Phillies Cristopher Sánchez has been named a replacement for Atlanta Braves lefty Chris Sale, who is scheduled to pitch on Sunday and will be unavailable to pitch in Tuesday's game in Arlington. In addition, Braves left-hander Max Fried has been named as a replacement for Phillies lefty Ranger Suárez on the National League roster.

UPDATED July 8, 2024: Pitchers and reserves have been named to the American League and National League All-Star Teams, as announced today by MLB and the Major League Baseball Players Assn.
The 2024 AL and NL All-Star rosters were unveiled during the “2024 MLB All-Star Selection Show presented by BuildSubmarines.com” on ESPN.
In addition to the starters who were elected by the fans, pitchers and reserve players were named to the All-Star Game roster by the Player Ballot — a vote of the players, managers and coaches — and by Major League Baseball.
"In making its selections as the last step in the process, MLB has ensured that each of the 30 Major League clubs will be represented at the All-Star Game."

July 3, 2024: The public-at-large has spoken and, as it turns out, their opinion shows that the hits keep coming when it comes time to naming All-Star players.
The results of the 2024 All-Star Starters Reveal presented by BuildSubmarines.com fan vote to determine this year's starters for the MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard July 16 in Globe Life Field includes the usual suspects, led by Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, Shohei Ohtani, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Jose Altuve, Juan Soto and Fernando Tatis Jr.
Judge (New York Yankees) and Harper (Philadelphia Phillies) had already earned automatic bids as each league's leading vote-getter in Phase 1 of voting.
There will be eight first-time starters, five in the AL and three in the NL. That includes Yankees Juan Soto, earning his first start with the Yankees after being a four-time All-Star with the San Diego Padres.
Overall, ten Major League clubs are represented among the 18 fan-elected starters, including five in the AL and five in the NL. The Phillies are sending a Major League-best three starters to the game, followed by the Brewers, Padres, Orioles, Astros, Guardians and Yankees (two each).
The pitchers and reserves for both squads — totaling 23 for each side — will be determined through a combination of “Player Ballot” choices and selections made by the Commissioner’s Office.
The balance of the All-Star rosters will be named during the All-Star Selection Show presented by BuildSubmarines.com July 7 on ESPN.
People will once again have the opportunity to participate in the official voting for the Ted Williams All-Star Game Most Valuable Player Award presented by Chevrolet.
During the All-Star Game, people can vote exclusively at MLB.com and the 30 Club sites — online or via their mobile devices — with the 2024 All-Star Game MLB.com MVP Vote presented by Chevrolet.
The collective voice will represent 20% of the official vote determining this year’s recipient of the Arch Ward Trophy.
MLB All-Star Week includes the MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard (July 16), Gatorade All-Star Workout Day featuring the T-Mobile Home Run Derby (July 15), All-Star Saturday featuring the All-Star Futures Game and the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game presented by Corona (July 13), the MLB Draft presented by Nike (July 14-16), the HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile (July 12), and Capital One All-Star Village (July 13-16).
MLB listed more than 30 former baseball and softball stars who will appear at Capital One All-Star Village, including Capital One Play BallL Park, beginning July 13.
A list of the attending former players is available at AllStarGame.com. Additional former star players are expected. All-Star Village will showcase dozens of interactive baseball activities and experiences July 13-16..
The 94th Midsummer Classic will be televised nationally by Fox Sports.
