Peyton Manning, Tony Hawk, Jimmy Kimmel: ‘We Are All In The NBA Finals’

May 9, 2023: As the NBA Playoffs presented by Goole Pixel near the NBA Finals presented by YouTube TV, the league has unveiled a multi-media campaign, “We Are All In The Finals.”
The anchor spot, played out to Adele’s “Hometown Glory,” features a bevy of NBA champions, including Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Tim Duncan; as well NBA fans such as Jimmy Kimmel, Tony Hawk, Peyton Manning, Eli Manning and NBA ambassador SUGA.
The goal: “To capture the global excitement surrounding the NBA Finals and the whirlwind of emotions that fans and players experience every game until one team wins four games and raises the coveted Larry O’Brien Trophy.”
The "We Are All In The Finals" campaign is the follow-up to “NBA Playoff Mode,” which launched just prior to the start of the post-season.
“The NBA Finals are a global event that marks the exhilarating culmination of a season-long journey,” Tammy Henault, NBA CMO, said via the league.
“We are thrilled to bring together an illustrious cast of NBA legends, celebrities and fans to match the emotions and anticipation around the most exciting time of the season.”
As we see shots of NBA Finals action from past years, and the roster of stars watching this year’s post-season in anticipation of the championship round, a voiceover offers, “We are all in the Finals. Ten on the floor. Millions on the edge.
“Half of us are about to learn the difference between champagne . . . And just pain.
“But just when you think you’ve felt every emotion possible, you realize that was only one game and it takes four wins to become champion.”
The Finals campaign extends off the court and beyond the creative effort.
The NBA has launched the Larry O’Brien Trophy on the “Larry’s NBA Finals 2023 Bucket List,” calling it the ultimate NBA Finals trophy tour.”
Ahead of the NBA Finals, the Larry O’Brien Trophy is setting out to check off items from its Finals bucket list before being presented to the 2023 NBA champions.
Throughout May, leading to a grand finale with the trophy’s arrival at Game 1, the Larry O’Brien Trophy has already made stops at New York City landmarks, the Kentucky Derby, Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix and the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show.
The NBA Finals are scheduled to begin June 1 on ABC (8:30 PM ET).
