NYSJ Sports-Entertainment Business News Service

August 16, 2022:
You can now add a Bad Boy to the list of legends who have made their mark in Yankee Stadium.

Bad Boy Mowers has signed a multi-year deal to become title sponsor for the college football Pinstripe Bowl in New York’s Yankee Stadium, featuring teams from the Big Ten and ACC.

“Bad Boy Mowers is thrilled to be the title partner of the Pinstripe Bowl at Yankee Stadium, and support once again the great American tradition of college football,” Peter Ballantyne, Bad Boy Mowers CEO, said via the company.

“We continue to grow in popularity and sales across the country and are expanding and surging right now in the Big Ten and ACC territories. We see this partnership as a fantastic way to further instill the Bad Boy Mowers dedication to great products and excellent value in these regions.”

New Era had been title sponsor from 2012-2021.

Legends Global Partnerships, a division of global premium experiences company Legends, negotiated the naming rights partnership.

Organizers said the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl will come with a week of activation to embrace fans.

The 2022 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl is scheduled for Dec. 29 (ESPN).

“Bad Boy Mowers had many opportunities to invest in the college landscape as they sought to grow their profile, and we are honored that they targeted our game as the optimal route to increase awareness of their brand,” Mark Holtzman, executive director, Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl, said via the organization.

“With New York City and Yankee Stadium as its backdrop, our full week of bowl activities truly provides one of the most unique atmospheres and settings in college football, and we are proud to share the spotlight with a company like Bad Boy Mowers, which has trod a similar path as our game, becoming highly regarded in a crowded marketplace in a short amount of time.”

Bad Boy Mowers, based in Batesville, Ark., was the title sponsor for the Gasparilla Bowl in Tampa from 2017-19.

The company also has deals that include the Kansas City Chiefs, the Battle 4 Atlantis college hoops tournament and a NIL deal with basketball player Armando Bacot of North Carolina.
