Verizon Plans National Super Bowl LIX FanFest: ‘An Experience Unlike Any Other’

By Barry Janoff

January 3, 2025: For Super Bowl LIX, the NFL has already planned such fan-specific events as the Super Bowl Experience presented by Panini and Super Bowl Opening Night Fueled by Gatorade, both being staged in New Orleans.

Now, the league and partner Verizon are bringing a Super Bowl FanFest to people nationwide on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 9).

Calling it a” first-of-its-kind event,” Verizon said it is transforming stadiums and venues across all 30 NFL markets into a “nationwide FanFest unlike any other.”

The event will be held in 29 venues — New Orleans is booked for the Super Bowl and the teams in New York and Los Angeles share venues, MetLife Stadium and Sofi Stadium, respectively — although not all the events will take place in NFL stadiums. (See full list here.)

Verizon said the event is free but tickets are required, now being offered on a first-come first-served basis while tickets in each respective city are available. (Details here.)

Verizon consumers get major extra perks, including being able to “bring a select number of guests.”

“Super Bowl LIX is the most anticipated sporting event of the year but few get to experience it in person,” Leslie Berland, Verizon evp/CMO, said via the company. “We wanted to bring that collective excitement and energy to fans across the country with once-in-a-lifetime access they’ll never forget,"

“Verizon is the only brand that can do something like this; we’re leveraging the power of our sponsorships, national and local partnerships across the country to put our customers at the center of this incredible event.”

Verizon supported the news with a promo spot, "Super Bowl FanFest."

Those attending the free celebrations on Super Bowl LIX Sunday will experience such activation as food and beverages from locally owned small businesses, meet-and-greets with current and former football players who have ties to each respective team, live local music acts and interactive games.

In select cities, people will be able to experience Super Bowl LIX activities on the field and visit team locker rooms.

People in select cities will also have access to exclusive team memorabilia.

Tom Brady has been brought in as a national spokesperson.

“I usually put the Super Bowl on my calendar at the start of every year,” he posted to social media. “I figure if I want to be there I need to plan to be there.

“This year it’s on my calendar because I’m calling it for Fox. But if I didn’t have plans I’d at the Verizon Super Bowl FanFest. They are bringing the Super Bowl experience to all 30 NFL cities.

“They are transforming stadiums and venues into the best party you’ve ever been to. It’s going to be huge. The biggest simultaneous Super Bowl party ever. So get it on your calendar so you can prepare like I did.”

When requesting tickets, the platform asks “Are you an existing Verizon customer?” To which people can choose: “I have a Verizon personal mobile plan and/or Verizon Home Internet. I have Verizon Fios Home Internet only. I’m not a Verizon customer.”

Verizon said some 120 current and former players are expected to attend meet-and-greets at each location.

Current and former NFL players scheduled to attend include Marshall Faulk (Los Angeles), Jason Witten (Dallas), Tiki Barber (New York), Derrick Brooks (Tampa Bay), Thurman Thomas (Buffalo), Randall Cobb (Green Bay), Jamal Lewis )Baltimore), Santana Moss (Washington), Golden Tate (Detroit), Jamaal Charles (Kansas City), Patrick Willis (San Francisco) and Warrick Dunn (Atlanta).

NFL sites include Atlanta State Farm Arena, Baltimore M&T Bank Stadium, Denver Empower Field at Mile High, Gillette Stadium Foxborough, Chicago Soldier Field, Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium, Los Angeles SoFi Stadium, MetLife Stadium NY/NJ, Miami Hard Rock Stadium, Philadelphia Lincoln Financial Field and Levi’s Stadium San Francisco/Santa Clara. (See full list here.)

Non-NFL venues include in in Buffalo in the RiverWorks, Dallas' Cosm The Colony, the Houston Methodist Training Center, in Kansas City in the Power & Light District, Seattle’s Climate Pledge Arena and in Tampa at Sparkman Wharf.

As the “official 5G Network of the NFL” Verizon said it would host additional events in New Orleans for Super Bowl LIX.

Verizon has launched a sweepstakes offering tickets to Super Bowl LX in Levi’s Stadium February 2026.

Verizon is also offering via its MyVerizon app items including autographed merchandise and “virtual ask a player moments.”

“This is a chance to give fans a unique way to enjoy the whole day,” Verizon spokesman Eli Manning told AP Sports. “It’s not just the game. It’s music, food, having things for kids and families. It’s about enjoying the experience while watching the game.”
