NFL Back Together Weekend ’24 Again Offers Full Access To Training Camps

July 16, 2024: Seeking to make each of its calendar segments a prestigious event, the NFL said for the fourth consecutive year, all 32 clubs would officially kick off Training Camp by holding practices with club-led fan events.
Training Camp: Back Together Weekend presented by YouTube TV will feature celebrations from July 27-28, including “two full days of practices, player interviews, mic'd up moments, behind-the-scenes content and club-led fanfests across the league,” according to the NFL.
NFL Network, NFL+, ABC and ESPN will provide coverage, including practices, player interviews, behind-the-scenes moments and fanfests at training camps across the country.
Back Together Weekend will follow the inaugural NFL Flag Championships presented by Toyota, July 18-21 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame Village, Canton, OH (ESPN, ABC) and precede the Pro Football Hall of Fame Game (Aug. 1) first pre-season game for 2024.
Training camp dates for all 32 teams were recently released by the NFL.
“With extensive NFL Network and ESPN/ABC coverage of all 32 teams, Back Together Weekend Presented by YouTube TV will give fans a first look at their favorite players and team's roster before the season," Peter O'Reilly, NFL evp-club business, league events and international, said via the league.
“Coming after our inaugural Flag Championships and before the Hall of Fame game, Back Together Weekend showcases the power of all 32 clubs and league partners coming together to bring fans closer to the players and game they love, whether they're watching on a screen or attending in person."
This year, club fanfests will feature youth flag football, community activations celebrating inclusivity and international integrations.
The NFL said many clubs are prioritizing inclusive community activations.
Teams, including the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh Steelers, will partner with local minority- and women-owned food vendors into their Back Together Weekend celebrations.
The Buffalo Bills are bringing in a DJ through its "Level Up Program," which includes minority and women-owned businesses in Buffalo “that have the opportunity and increased likelihood to secure a bid on new stadium projects.”
The Tennessee Titans are inviting Special Olympics, where one of their athletes will perform the National Anthem; and the Washington Commanders will host a market featuring minority-owned shops and goods from the region.
The Chicago Bears and rookie quarterback Caleb Williams were selected to participate in Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Chicago Bears, NFL Films as the team prepares for the 2024 season. It debuts on HBO Aug. 6
The Pro Football Hall of Fame Game Aug. 1 between the Chicago Bears and Houston Texans (ESPN, ABC) is part of the Class of ’24 enshrinement celebration.
