ESPN, Tennis Channel Are On The Ball For U.S. Open Grand Slam 2023 Coverage

UPDATED August 24, 2023: According to Broadcasting + Cable, Disney Advertising said commercial inventory is sold out, with more than 20 sponsors and almost 150 advertisers.

American Express said it has extended its alliance with the U.S. Tennis Assn. and the U.S. Open
For the 30th year, American Express will be the official payments partner of the U.S. Open.
American Express Card Members with eligible cards can access exclusive U.S. Open benefits, get on-site Amex radios with ESPN broadcast, and visit two Card Member lounges on-site: the American Express Card Member Lounge and The Centurion Lounge.
For the second year in a row, the credit card company is also collaborating with Break the Love, a social sports platform, to provide access to over 500 racquet sports courts and clinics in the New York City region.

August 23, 2023: The U.S. Open Grand Slam is taking the court, and ESPN as the exclusive broadcast partner will have more than 260 hours of coverage on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+.
The U.S. Open runs Aug. 28-Sept. 10 at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows–Corona Park, Queens, New York.
Daily marathon coverage from all courts will culminate with the Women’s Singles Championship Sept. 9 and the Men’s Singles Championship Sept. 10, on ESPN, ESPN+ and ESPN Deportes (both at 4 PM ET).
U.S. Open Fan Week (Aug. 22-27) and Qualifying Matches (on ESPN platforms) are now in progress.
Arthur Ashe Kids Day is Aug. 26.
ABC will air the U.S. Open live for the first time, with the Round of 16 on Sept. 3.
Dual network prime-time coverage on Aug. 29-30 includes action from Arthur Ashe Stadium on ESPN and from Louis Armstrong Stadium on ESPN2.
ESPN Deportes will air 98 hours of play in Spanish — up 12 hours over last year — including the Women’s and Men’s Semi-finals and Championships.
ESPN marketing support is anchored by a TV spot, “The Power of Blue” featuring Alicia Keys.
Tennis Channel Live at the U.S. Open, the network’s daily lead-in show, premieres Aug. 28, beginning two hours per day of news, analysis, highlights and special reports most mornings of the two-week competition.
Throughout the Grand Slam, Tennis Channel will show match replays, match scores, news, tournament information, daily orders of play, live blogs, statistics and feature reports.
U.S. Open partners include American Express, Aperol, Cadillac, Chase, Chubb, Deloitte, Dobel Tequila, Emirates, Evian, Face, Grey Goose, Heineken, IBM, IHG Hotels, J.P. Morgan, La Roche Posay, LavAzza, Moderna, Polo Ralph Lauren, Rolex, TicketMaster, Tiffany and Wilson.
As a fitting exclamation point to the U.S. Open celebrating 50 years of awarding equal prize money to men and women, organizers said today that the 2023 Grand Slam’s overall player compensation would total $65 million, an all-time high for the tournament.
This year's total — an 8% increase from 2022's then-record $60 million — includes $3 million each awarded to the men's and women's singles champions.
That sum is a 15% increase from the $2.6 million won in 2022 by men's and women's singles champions Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek, respectively.
ESPN’s tennis team includes James Blake, Darren Cahill, Cliff Drysdale, Chrissie Evert, Mary Joe Fernandez, Chris Fowler, John McEnroe, Patrick McEnroe, Chris McKendry, Pam Shriver, Alexandra Stevenson and Carloline Wozniacki.
Tennis Channel’s U.S. Open on-air team is anchored by Steve Weissman, Paul Annacone, Chanda Rubin and Jon Wertheim.
The ESPN App will be the all-in-one streaming home for the U.S. Open. Within the ESPN App:
