Special to NYSportsJournalism.com

November 1, 2016: As part of its strategy to extend the company's global capabilities and 360-degree platform to markets outside the U.S., Legends, the stadium, arena, team and event full-service hospitality firm owned by the New York Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys, has acquired International Stadia Group, a London-based sports and entertainment company.

ISA brings to the alliance a list of heavy-hitter sports clients, including Atletico de Madrid, FC Barcelona, Friends Arena, Twickenham, Manchester City, Galatasaray, Udinese Calcio and Tottenham Hotspur.

Legends client roster includes Yankee Stadium, the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium Levi’s Stadium (San Francisco 49ers), the Rose Bowl, the Mansion at Churchill Downs, the University of Notre Dame, University of Southern California, Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and some 40 venues under the auspices of Live Nation.

Legends said that ISG would become an integral component of Legends' full-service platform solution, leading to new growth opportunities in Europe, Africa and Middle East regions.

"This marks a time of unprecedented growth and excitement for Legends," Legends president Shervin Mirhashemi said in a statement. "The acquisition of ISG further extends our reach into new markets abroad and solidifies our position as a global leader in fan experiences."

"The acquisition of ISG further extends our reach into new markets abroad and solidifies our position as a global leader in fan experiences."

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

According to ISG founder and CEO Andrew Hampel, "We are delighted to become part of the Legends family, with whom we share the same vision and approach, and very excited at the opportunity to combine decades of experience and exceptional talent, to provide best in class resources and services globally.

"Our clients and the spectator experience sit at the center of all we do, supplemented by a data-driven approach to our work. Between us, we have worked on a collection of the most iconic stadia in the world.

"While ISG was pursued by several industry leaders, we were drawn to the Legends 360 platform and culture, inspiring our management team and board to decide to be acquired by Legends," said Hampel.
