October 29, 2014: Electronics firm Vizio, which from 2010-2014 was title sponsor of the Rose Bowl, remains part of the new College Football Playoff as the new title sponsor for the Fiesta Bowl, one of the "New Year's Six" Bowls in the system.
The 2014 Vizio Fiesta Bowl will be played on Dec. 31 in the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, AZ, to air on ESPN.
The company also becomes title sponsor of the 2014 Vivzio Fiesta Bowl Fan Fest earlier that day on the Great Lawn at the University of Phoenix Stadium.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. The pact was handled by ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN, which owns and operates a large portfolio of collegiate sporting events worldwide,
Vizio replaces Tostitos for the 44th Fiesta Bowl, which had been title sponsor since 1996.
Vizio will support the alliance with multimedia marketing, including TV, print, Internet, in-stadium signage and social media, the latter anchored by Vizio's Fandemonium Web site — VizioFanZone.com an online social community "created to gives fans the opportunity to rally together, share and express their enthusiasm for sports and other passion points." Among the activations will be a ticket sweepstakes that "will award one college football super fan with a VIP trip to the Vizio Fiesta Bowl." (Details not yet available.)

According to Ed Erhardt, President, ESPN global customer marketing and sales, "Vizio's Fiesta Bowl title sponsorship is a great extension of the brand's prior status as an official BCS Sponsor and title sponsor for the 2014 BCS National Championship Game and further illustrates their commitment to college football. With this expanded presence, Vizio will have exposure to and be engaged with passionate college football fans at the height of the College Football Playoff."
The College Football Playoff will rotate each year among six Bowls: the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, Vizio Fiesta Bowl, Capital One Orange Bowl, Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual, Allstate Sugar Bowl and the Cotton Bowl. The championship game this season will be played in AT&T Stadium, home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, on Jan. 12, 2015.
