• The NHL has signed what it is calling a “ groundbreaking partnership” with the Billie Jean King Leadership Initiative, which will “support research, action, advocacy and collaboration with organizations that have a significant community impact.” Full story here.

• Dick Vitale, 80, has signed a contract extension with ESPN through the 2021-22 season, adding to a recent extension unveiled last May.

• The WTA will premiere the NYJTL Bronx Open, Aug. 16-24, in the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis & Learning in The Bronx, NY. The women’s tournament will take place the week before the U.S. Open in New York and offer $250,000 in prize money.

• SunTrust and BB&T financial firms said that Truist Financial would be the name of the company following their merger later this year. The name — “intended to give the bank a single, fresh identity” — could also become the new name for the home venue for the Atlanta Braves, now known as SunTrust Stadium.

• Pete Frates and Pat Quinn, co-founders of ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, have launched with The ALS Assn. the 5th anniversary of “Challenge Me” with a “new call to action to reignite the passion and generosity of the millions of people who dumped ice water on their heads in the summer of 2014.”

Oreo Wants People To Get Stuff Via Stuf Inside Promo For The Most Stuf

Consumers who love Oreos know about original Oreos, Double Stuf, Mega Stuf, Golden Double Stuf and the new limited-release Most Stuf Oreo cookie.

But what people might not know about is an Oreo-tricked-out Jeep Wrangler, an Oreo iRobot Roomba Robot Vacuum and an Oreo K2 snowboard.

These and other limited-edition items are part of an Oreo promotion, The Stuf Inside, beginning Feb. 4 and running through National Oreo Day on March 6.

 

It's all to support the recent release of Most Stuf Oreo, which has about four times as much creme stuff as a regular Oreo cookie.

Beyond the grocery shelves, Oreo is enabling people via online image recognition technology to “scan their Oreo cookies” for an opportunity to win daily prizes.

Accord to Mondel─ôz International brand Oreo, people who go to a Stuf Inside online destination beginning Feb. 4 can “scan a single eligible Oreo cookie with a mobile or tablet device revealing an animated Oreo cookie.

“Twist open the animated Oreo cookie to unlock the prize of the day and see if you've won," per Oreo.

Prizes include the aforementioned Oreo-tricked-out Jeep Wrangler, Oreo iRobot Roomba Robot Vacuum and Oreo K2 snowboard, plus Oreo X Grado headphones, Oreo Xbox Ones, Oreo products and other Oreo-themed items.

In addition, Oreo said that people who enter the sweepstakes would be automatically entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize: a trip for two to New York to see the musical, Waitress, on Broadway.

Playing every day increases the chances of winning the grand prize, according to Oreo.

People can enter once per day during the promotion period. New prizes will appear and be given out daily in both the U.S. and Canada during the promotion. (Details here.)
