• The NFL has unveiled the Super Bowl Ticket Giveaway, an initiative this season to "surprise fans across the country with an invitation to attend Super Bowl LII in Minnesota on February 4, 2018. • In it's ninth season as the official wardrobe supplier for the National Basketball Coaches Assn., Men's Wearhouse said that 24 NBA head coaches would be outfitted with Joseph Abboud Custom suits for the 2017-18 season. According to Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr, "With 82 games a season, it's important to look professional and have confidence on the court."

NBA Feels The Magic With 2012 All-Star Game In Orlando

May 4, 2010: The NBA has tapped Orlando as the city to host the 2012 All-Star Game at Amway Center, which is scheduled to open this fall as the new home of the Orlando Magic.

Orlando also hosted the 1992 All-Star Game, which was played at Orlando Arena (the Magic's current home, now known as Amway Arena). The 2011 All-Star Game will be played at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The 61st NBA All-Star Game is scheduled for Feb. 26, 2012. Amway Center will also be the site of the T-Mobile Rookie Challenge & Youth Jam and NBA All-Star Saturday Night presented by State Farm. NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas will be held at the Orange County Convention Center.

"As a premier entertainment destination with a new, state-of-the-art arena and a wide array of hospitality options, Orlando is an obvious and compelling choice to host this celebration of our game," NBA commissioner David Stern said during a press conference. "We thank the Magic, Orlando and Orange County for once again welcoming NBA All-Star."

According to Alex Martins, COO for the Orlando Magic, “It's a testament to our Central Florida community, the Magic organization and our beautiful new Amway Center that Orlando has been selected to host NBA All-Star 2012. We look forward to working with the city, the county and the NBA to make this an unforgettable week that will drive major economic impact.”

Separately, the NBA and State Farm have unveiled the first "NBA Cares Charity Challenge presented by State Farm," in which NBA stars will compete via the league’s Facebook fan page to help raise money for the charity of their choice.  

Now through 11:59 PM on Sunday, May 9, fans can view videos featuring NBA All-Stars Carmelo Anthony, Pau Gasol, Steve Nash and Dwyane Wade, each working with an affiliated charitable organization. Throughout the weeklong program, fans will be able to vote for one of the four player's videos on the NBA’s Facebook fan page (www.facebook.com/nba). The player who collects the most fan support will win $10,000 for their selected charity; the other three charities will receive a $5,000 donation.
 
“This challenge exemplifies the State Farm spirit of ‘being there’ and we are thrilled to team up with NBA Cares for the Charity Challenge,” Pam El, State Farm marketing vice president, said in a statement.  “We’re excited to learn what selections the fans will make with their votes and to help support these amazing player-chosen charities.”
