March 5, 2025: Getting a jump-start on the 2025 MLB season, the New York Mets will cross the East River from Queens to Manhattan to open their first pop-up experience — Mets House NYC — in Union Square.
Mets House NYC Opening Day is March 7, with special events planned for the weekend in a multipurpose space that will give “Mets fans an exclusive opportunity to engage with their favorite team outside of the ballpark.”
Mets House NYC will remain open thru the season.
“We often hear from our fans that they are looking for new ways to support the team outside of Citi Field and opening Mets House is the perfect way to make that happen,” M. Scott Havens, Mets president of business operations,” said via the team.
“Mets House is more than just a pop-up shop — it provides our fans with unique experiences that will change throughout the duration of the activation. It’s also a way for us to reach new fans and get them excited to check out a game at Citi Field.”
The Mets home opener with newly signed Juan Soto is April 4.
The team said Mets House would feature "themed activities, exclusive merchandise, ongoing surprise experiences — including giveaways and special gifts with purchase — and other interactive elements, "creating a vibrant and memorable atmosphere for all who visit.
“Mets fans can also enjoy exclusive, in-store only deals on Mets regular season tickets, including no fees on all tickets purchased at Mets House.”
Opening weekend is scheduled to include appearances from Mets icon Dwight “Doc” Gooden, Todd Zeile and Mr. and Mrs. Met, as well as a live art experience from Juicebox, where visitors will have a chance to have their portraits drawn on a baseball.
Each week, Mets House will feature unique experiences, including guest appearances from alumni and other special guests, themed activities, and surprises such as giveaways, trivia and exclusive merchandise.
Some of the activations include playing MLB the Show at the Gaming Wall, comparing batting swings and stances to their favorite Mets player at the Mets Match Your Swing experience; and seeing collectibles and memorabilia and bidding on auction items, with winning bids supporting the Amazin’ Mets Foundation.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mets House to Union Square, where New Yorkers have long come together in the name of community, culture and celebration," Julie Stein, executive director of Union Square Partnership, said via the organization.
“Joining a wave of new immersive experiences and interactive family-friendly concepts opening throughout the neighborhood, Mets House will be a haven for fans of all ages. It's a home run!"
Located at 1Union Square West, opposite the southwest corner of Union Square Park, Mets House will be open Tuesdays through Sundays, closed Mondays.
