May 1, 2026: Today is May the 1st, and in a few days it will be Cinco de Mayo.
In between, a date near and dear to the hearts of many: May 4th, or better known in Star Wars annals as “May the Fourth be with you.”
MLB is supporting the event with Star Wars Night at 29dss games, which started with the Los Angeles Angels April 17-18 and runs through Aug. 22 with the Colorado Rockies.
On May 4, five teams will celebrate with promotions, including the New York Yankees, Chicago Cubs, Tampa Bay Rays, Seattle Mariners an Detroit Tigers.
The Yankees are actually having a weekend-long Star Wars party,
Special food and merchandise will be available in Yankee Stadium to celebrate Star Wars Weekend May 2-4. Items include a Star Wars x Yankees Specialty Soda Cup series, two Star Wars-themed dessert concession items, two co-branded Yankees x Star Wars T-shirts and a co-branded souvenir mini-bat.
These items are in addition to a previously announced promotion May 2 vs. the Baltimore Orioles when the first 18,000 people in attendance will receive a Max Fried Mandalorian Bobblehead presented by Clear, featuring the Yankees southpaw in full Mandalorian armor alongside Grogu.
Saturday will also have more than 50 Star Wars and Mandalorian characters spread out across Stadium concourses.
From Saturday through Monday, people will be able to purchase at concession stands throughout the Stadium three different collectible Star Wars x Yankees Specialty Soda Cups (with the purchase of a souvenir soda, while supplies last), with a different style available on each of the three days.
In addition,, the concession stand at Section 125 will feature a Mandalorian-inspired Blue Milk Milkshake (blue vanilla shake, whipped cream, white and blue sprinkles, served in a Yankees souvenir ice cream flute), along with Grogu’s Dirt Pudding Sundae (chocolate Mister Softee ice cream, chocolate mousse, Oreo crumbs, whipped cream, gummy frogs and a blue macaron, served in a Yankees souvenir helmet cup).
In the Main Team Store by Section 119, fans will be able to purchase a Lightsaber-painted Mini-Bat and two styles of co-branded T-shirts — Yankees x Luke Skywalker “The Force is Strong” (in adult sizes) and Yankees x Grogu (in adult and children’s sizes).

Star Wars Day May 4 will be feted at Walt Disney World Resort. Both Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Disney Springs will have a virtual queue in place for their May the 4th merchandise events.

Among others, LEGO May the 4th Event Star Wars Day merchandise is now available, And Burger King has launched a limited-time menu.
