Alternate Side Barking: ManningCast Returns For NFL 2025 ESPN 'MNF'

By Barry Janoff

Sept. 2, 2025: Peanut butter and jelly, surf and turf, bacon and eggs.

For the fifth consecutive season, NFL Monday Night Football on ESPN will be teamed with the alternate presentation of Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli, aka ManningCast.

The Emmy-winning joint presentation by ESPN and Omaha Productions will surpass 50 episodes this season, dating back to Week 1 of 2021.

This season’s edition of the show will feature 12 games, new guests and some familiar faces “while also maintaining the signature blend of analysis, humor, and wit that has become synonymous with Peyton and Eli Manning,” according to ESPN.

As previously unveiled, Bill Belichick, now the head coach for the University of North Carolina, will not appear.

During the 2024 NFL season. Belichick appeared on all 11 editions of ManningCast.

All episodes will continue to air on ESPN2 opposite Monday Night Football on ESPN.

The schedule begins Sept. 8 when the Minnesota Vikings visit the Chicago Bears and concludes the regular season on Saturday Jan. 3 with a doubleheader (teams TBD) before pairing with a Wild Card game on Jan. 12.

(See the full schedule below.)

According to ESPN, in its first four seasons, Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli has aired 42 telecasts, averaging 1.3 million viewers per show.

ManningCast has twice won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Live Series, first following its debut season and again after the 2023 season.

Peyton has also won a Sports Emmy for Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst twice, including in May 2025.

As a result, between group and individual recognitions, Monday Night Football with Peyton and Eli has received a Sports Emmy in each of its four seasons.
