• Manchester United has signed a multi-year deal with Marriott International, with multi-platform marketing including access to on-field & player experiences for 120M members of the Marriott BonVoy travel program.

• PepsiCo is acquiring the CytoSport supplements brand from Hormel, which includes the Muscle Milk line.

• MLS Los Angeles Galaxy has signed a deal naming Mescal El Silencio, a specially crafted mezcal label based in Los Angeles, as an official partner for the team and its venue, Dignity Health Sports Park. The alliance, being called the first mescal deal for a pro sports team, includes a Mezcaleria El Silencio bar on the main concourse.

• MLS FC Dallas has signed a pact naming Heineken as the official import beer for the club and Toyota Stadium. The alliance also make Heineken USA a founding partner for the National Soccer Hall of Fame, which recently opened in Toyota Stadium.

• Lisa Borders, who in October resigned from her position as president for the WNBA to become president and CEO for Time’s Up, has now resigned from that position, citing family situations.

At Dover International Speedway, Racing To Golden 50 On The Monster Mile

Dover International Speedway, celebrating its 50th golden anniversary, has unveiled a promotion that will last until the racetrack celebrates its 100th platinum anniversary.

By completing an online survey, people will be entered to win four “Golden Tickets,” which will enable the holder(s) to attend each Dover International Speedway Nascar Cup Series race through the year 2069.

Admission begins with the Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series race on Sunday, May 5, 2019.

“This is certainly the longest-lasting prize we’ve ever offered in a fan contest,” Mike Tatoian, president and CEO for Dover (DE) International Speedway, said via the organization.

“Fifty years of Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series tickets is a reward that generations of family members and friends can enjoy for years to come. We look forward to selecting a winner.”

The survey is open now through April 1, with the winner to be unveiled later that week. It is being overseen by SurveyMonkey.

Dover Speedway is home to the iconic Monster Mile, the nickname for the venue’s high-banked concrete oval track.

The Monster Mile’s 50th anniversary racing season begins with a Nascar triple-header weekend May 3-5, which includes the “JEGS 200” Nascar Gander Outdoors Truck Series race and the Nascar Xfinity Series Dash 4 Cash race.

The Oct. 6, 2019 Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series playoff race will be the 100th Nascar Cup Series race in track history.

Dover International Speedway will be the 10th track in the nation to host 100 Nascar Cup Series races.

Among other 50th anniversary activation, Dover Speedway and Dover, DE-based Fordham & Dominion Brewing Co. have released a special “Splash & Go” Lager and the track has created special-edition merchandise including hats, T-shirts and pint glasses.

Non-endemic partners include AAA, Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser), Delaware Lottery, Pepsi, Sherwin-Williams and Weis supermarkets.

“Our team is working hard to make 2019 the biggest year yet at Dover International Speedway,” said Tatoian.

“For fifty years, the Monster Mile has been providing challenges for top drivers, excitement for our fans and terrific memories for all in attendance. Our 2019 celebrations, events and races will offer the perfect kickoff for our next fifty years of racing.”
