• Amazon Prime Video said that Hannah Storm and Andrea Kremer would provide commentary and analysis for its live-streaming coverage of 11 Thursday Night Football games on Prime Video beginning Sept. 27 when the Los Angeles Rams host the Minnesota Vikings. “NFL fans will hear history made this season — bringing two female announcers together to call an entire NFL game has never been done before,” said Greg Hart, vp-Prime Video.

• 2K, publisher of NBA 2K, has launched 2K Foundations, created to “support underserved communities across the nation by refurbishing basketball courts in neighborhoods that need them the most.” 2K Foundations will also "provide essential technology upgrades in local community centers that will enable STEM education programming for youth." Microsoft will partner. 2K Foundations plans to refurbish 12 basketball courts in multiple cities throughout the U.S. within its first year.

• NBC Sports Group, Grambling State University and Southern University have extended their alliance, which began in 1991, for three more years, keeping the annual Bayou Classic on NBCSN through 2021. The game is played Thanksgiving weekend in the Mercedes-Benz SuperDome in New Orleans.

Dick’s Teams With Pop Warner As Official Sporting Goods Retailer, Tech Partner

September 28, 2017: Pop Warner Little Scholars, the nation’s oldest youth football, cheer and dance organization, has signed a deal with Dick’s Sporting Goods, naming the national sporting goods retailer as an official partner and sponsor for the organization.

Under terms of the alliance, Dick’s Sporting Goods becomes the official sporting goods retailer, football uniform provider, league registration provider, national data center provider and official technology provider for Pop Warner and its teams, squads and participants, with access to Dick’s Team Sports HQ.

In addition, Dick’s becomes a participating sponsor for the Pop Warner Regional Championships, Pop Warner Super Bowl and the National Cheer & Dance Championships.

Financial terms of the alliance were not released.

"We’re very proud to partner with what we consider one of the most iconic and trusted brands in sports," Jon Butler, executive director for Pop Warner Little Scholars, said in a statement. "Our relationship with Dick’s  will benefit Pop Warner members in so many ways, from uniforms and equipment to registrations and communications.

"Strategic relationships with respected brands like Dick’s are critical in our commitment to providing young people with the very best experiences in youth sports," said Butler.

Other Pop Warner partners include Under Armour, Gatorade, Riddell, Wilson Sporting Goods (official provider of footballs), Rebel Athletic (official cheer uniform supplier), Panini, USA Football and Infinity.

With the intention of enhancing and expanding Pop Warner’s tech capabilities, the new alliance would provide the organization with access to Dick’s Team Sports HQ, described as "an all-in-one digital platform that serves more than four million youth athletes, coaches and fans."

Dick’s Team Sports HQ already has partnerships including Little League Baseball and Softball, PONY Baseball and Softball, American Youth Soccer Assn. and the Soccer Association for Youth.

Among other capabilites, Dick’s said that Pop Warner teams and associations nationwide will be able to "create smart, personalized web sites with online registration, order custom uniforms and FanWear and access donations and sponsorships."

According to Ed Plummer, svp-Dick’s Team Sports HQ, “We’re excited to enter into a new partnership with Pop Warner and welcome them into the Dick’s Team Sports HQ family of youth sports partners."

Pop Warner Little Scholars was founded in 1929 and is headquartered in Langhorne, Pa.

The 2017 Pop Warner Super Bowl is scheduled for Dec. 2-9 in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is a Fortune 500 company headquartered in Pittsburgh with more than 600 locations nationwide.

Dick’s Sporting Goods is also an official partner with the U.S. Olympic Committee and Team America.
