• For the 15th consecutive year, ESPN will present the NCAA Division I Men’s Ice Hockey Championship in its entirety, with the 15-game, 16-team tournament beginning with regional action March 29-31 and concluding with the Frozen Four on April 11 and 13. The Frozen Four will be in Buffalo, NY, with all three games on ESPN2.

• The NFL's 100th season will begin with the Chicago Bears hosting the Green Bay Packers in Soldier Field on Thursday, Sept. 5 (NBC, 8:20 PM ET). This will be the 199th meeting between the Bears and Packers, including regular- and post-season. Super Bowl champion New England Patriots will begin their season on NBC Sunday Night Football Sept. 8. Their opponent will be named when the full 2019 regular season schedule is released later this spring.

• Kraft Heinz, in partnership with the NHL and NHLPlayers’ Association (NHLPA) has unveiled the top four finalist communities competing for the coveted title of Kraft Hockeyville USA 2019. Voting begins March 30.

• NBA Experience, the new destination coming to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World Resort (Orlando) will officially open Aug. 12, 2019. In collaboration with the NBA, Disney is developing NBA Experience with 13 interactive elements and hands-on activities across 44,000 square feet and two floors, also including a NBA-themed retail store.

• D.G. Yuengling & Son brewery has signed a deal with Philadelphia Phillies' pitcher Aaron Nola, making him one of the first active, MLB players to have a partnership with a beer brand. Yuengling has been a sponsor of the Phillies since 2017,

• MLB and the MLB Players’ Assn. have unveiled numerous changes to the game to be installed over the next two seasons that will impact game length, marketing broadcast partners, the All-Star Game and the Home Run Derby. Full story here.

Danica Patrick Gets Green Flag For ’17 Nascar Season With New Lead Sponsor

February 14, 2017: With the first major race of the 2017 season fast approaching, Danica Patrick received a special gift for Valentine’s Day in the form of a new lead sponsor to help keep her in the midst of the action.

Aspen Dental, already a marketing partner with Patrick, has agreed to expand its alliance with Stewart-Haas Racing to become lead sponsor for her and the No. 10 team during the 2017 Monster Energy Nascar Cup Series season.

The No. 10 Aspen Dental Ford Fusion will debut in the season-opening Daytona 500 Feb. 26 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway.

Financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed.

Aspen Dental replaces Nature’s Bakery as Patrick’s lead partner. Nature’s Bakery recently decided not to continue in the role, with SHR saying it would sue to reclaim the money due for the final two years Nature's Bakery owed on the contract, reportedly $30 million, per industry analysts.

Aspen Dental has been a partner of SHR since 2012 and aligned with Patrick since 2014.

The Dewitt, NY-based dental support company said it would serve as the primary sponsor of Patrick’s No. 10 Ford Fusion for a double-digit slate of races in 2017.

Patrick’s endorsement deals also include Tissot, TaxAct and Mobil 1.

"Our commitment to Danica Patrick goes back almost four years and our relationship with SHR even further," Bob Fontana, chairman and CEO for Aspen Dental Management, said in a statement. "She is a strong advocate for the Aspen Dental brand and a wonderful ambassador for programs like the Healthy Mouth Movement.

"Danica and Stewart-Haas Racing have encouraged fans to get started on the road to better oral health care while showcasing how Aspen Dental practices make it easy for them. We look forward to our enhanced partnership," said Fontana.

According to Patrick, "In the years since I first partnered with Aspen Dental, it’s been fun to work on some unique projects with their team. We’ve worked together on some pretty impactful programs. It’s incredible to see first-hand how many people they’ve helped. I’m looking forward to delivering the company’s message at even more races this year."
